The hotel is in oku nikko which surrounded by nature. If you love nature or snow in winter. This is a perfect place to stay. Outside Onsen also surrounded by snow but unfortunately we cannot see the star that day.

The owner welcomed me with a creamy sweet potato beverage, showed me all the main attractions of the place, and knew so many different languages. He traveled the world, and also offered for a very low price a guided tour of amazing attractions. We even went to a free footbath that is directly fed by volcanic water.

Situated next to Lake Chuzenji, Hatago Nagomi is renovated in August 2017. The hotel features a restaurant, bar and free WiFi throughout the property. Free private parking is available on site.

We loved everything! The onsen was absolutely amazing — it had everything: lotions, creams, indoor and outdoor baths at perfect temperatures. The lounge clothing provided was both comfortable and stylish, and added to the relaxing experience. There was a stargazing night tour, a kids’ room, and the staff gave excellent, thoughtful service. Plenty of seating areas, a convenience store right inside the hotel, and a great gift shop — even selling the same products used in the onsen! The dining experience was the most incredible we had during our entire stay in Japan. It was colorful, diverse, with unique small chef dishes alongside a generous buffet, including fresh fruit (which is rare!). Guests could even take food back to their rooms. The location was excellent, overlooking the lake with a walking path that led us straight to the hotel.
