If you’re looking for a private, luxurious villa surrounded by nature, this is the perfect place to spend your holiday. The property is super clean and well-maintained, with rooms that are better than most 5-star hotels.The Villa felt just right, very quiet when and if you wanted it to be The pool is kept to professional standards, which I really appreciated. It’s an amazing spot for a perfect getaway with plenty of nearby attractions like the Pettigala mountain hike and Victoria Reservoir viewpoint to explore. The service from the staff was exceptional, and honestly, there’s nothing to regret about our stay.A special Thank you to the chef Camo and Priyantha for making our stay unforgettable and for looking into every tiny little detail . Everyone was welcoming, attentive and made you feel home.

We had the privilege of staying at Kandy Dendrobium House, a true paradise nestled in the mountains just 30 minutes from Kandy. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a kindness and attention to detail that is rare to find when traveling. This is not just a place to stay — it’s a genuine experience, deeply connected to nature and to the heartfelt hospitality of Sri Lanka. The location is simply enchanting: a peaceful haven surrounded by lush greenery, breathtaking views, and a profound sense of serenity. Every detail, from the common areas to the rooms, is designed with care and respect for the environment, creating perfect harmony with the surrounding landscape. A special thank you goes to the wonderful people who made our stay so memorable: • Dilshad Farook, the naturalist, who passionately guided us through the area’s rich biodiversity, turning every walk into a small adventure. • Malindu, the manager, always present, professional, and attentive to every need. • Dharma Sri, Sandeepa, Asanga, Marlon, always present, attentive, ready to assist us with warmth and discretion. • Ravindra, the chef, who delighted us daily with delicious, authentic dishes prepared with great skill. • Mahanama, our driver, kind, reliable, and always with a smile, making every journey safe and pleasant. The Kandy House was our favourite hotel in Sri Lanka aesthetically and for service and in our opinion should be the model for for all manor houses in Sri Lanka in terms of interiors, grounds and operations. The house has been kept in impeccable condition, preserving the beautiful heritage while flawlessly balancing more modern Sri Lankan artists and textiles. We were only in Kandy briefly, and the hotel manager who personally greeted us on arrival, organized a quick tuk tuk tour of the highlights, a beautiful meal, packed lunches for the train journey the next day while also making sure we had time to enjoy the beautiful pool and grounds. The manager was exceptional at his job. Everything ran like clockwork.The staff were attentive, courteous and discreet. The food was amazing. We arrived exhausted and departed less than 24 hours later with a new vibrancy after delicious food and deep rest. This is the kind of hotel you want to live in and I would have spent an extra day in Kandy just to have one more night at this property. This is the experience one always hopes for. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
