This place is hidden gem. Away from the noise of Puerto Princessa, lies this beautiful small hotel. Staff is very kind and helpful. Restaurant creates delicious and tasteful meals from sunrise till sunset. Talking about sunset, this hotel has the best view on the entire island. It was so good that I proposed to my girlfriend purely because the views and setting ;)

Bambua Nature Cottages is a true hidden gem nestled amidst lush, vibrant greenery, offering a serene and peaceful retreat. The location is simply breathtaking, surrounded by nature, and conveniently close to the famous Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park, which is a must-visit attraction. The tranquil atmosphere makes it an ideal place to unwind and reconnect with nature. While my room was quite modest, it was more than sufficient for my needs. The simplicity of the accommodation added to the charm, allowing me to fully appreciate the natural beauty of the surroundings. Also the food was really good, with a variety of fresh and flavorful dishes that made dining a delightful experience. Overall, Bambua Nature Cottages is a wonderful choice for those seeking a quiet escape in a stunning natural setting, with the added bonus of being close to one of the world's most incredible natural wonders. Highly recommended for nature lovers and travelers looking for a peaceful retreat!

Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park

Long stretches of water leading to the South China Sea, shaded by lazily hanging branches, this UNESCO site warrants a good exploration. Soaring limestone peaks loom overhead, while beyond their faces roll forest and paddy fields, adding to the dramatic landscape. Some of the creatures that call this amazing park home include long-tailed macaques, flat-headed frogs, green-crested lizards and the Bornean bearded pig.
