The accommodation is beautiful and is surrounded by stunning garden on the river. The hosts are lovely and gave us some really good recommendations. Motorbike rental is easy and cheap to explore the local area, they also offer free pushbikes.

We really enjoyed our stay in Trang An Hometown Homestay. Everything about the accommodation and the hospitality we had received from the homestay was perfect! It was more than we could ever ask for. The family had given us so much warmth and careness in the period we were staying. They were also extremely helpful in providing us with necessary information and responding to any concerns we had. We felt very loved and belonged! and will definately go back again. There are free bicycles for touring the town :), and the room was very clean, neat and quiet during the night, and not to mention about its affordable price!!

Great hospitable family. We liked absolutely everything! Breakfast was great. They helped us book a tour around Ninh Binh. They also helped call a taxi. And it worked out cheaper for us than through an agency. The description of the hotel is true. The hotel also provides free bicycles which is very cool. The rooftop offers amazing views of the surrounding area of ​​Ninh Binh! Next time we will definitely stay with this family. Highly recommend.

    Its actually quite nice to walk around early in the morning...

    Its actually quite nice to walk around early in the morning before the other tourists arrive, but in reality it is a couple of quite nice by nothing special temples in the main complex, a nothing special temple out in a very scenic valley bewteen karst towers, and a totally uninspiring temple up quite a climb up some steep steps near the top of a hill.

    Accept the offer of a motorbike tour at the gate to see it all, otherwise you’ll never find all the locations. Trust the locals. They are trying to make a living sure - as we all are. But you gotta trust that apart from the odd taxi driver, in Vietnam most people ARE NOT trying to rip you off. Yes people offering directions are doing just that like you would at home. And do give some money to the lady monks who hold out their hands when you visit. It is how they survive. Don’t be cheap and mean please! I witnessed some bad white people behaviour here and in Tam Coc and Hoi An. Try not to be an asshole!
