Food was excellent for breakfast(lots od variety and super observant staff who come to one's aid with hot drinks even before we run out) and dinner superb and comparable to some of the best restaurants in the region. The porters and staff were excellent and ever so friendly. I lost an item in another hotel in the Sandton area. They were happy to help me contact them and chase it up. Love the decor as well and the interior design. I cannot wait to be back in Johannesburg and book with them again

Black brick One was a real find for me. Traveling solo, it was a place with a warm community that I could connect to. Staff were very helpful and friendly. My room was more a studio, with a full kitchen, which I appreciated. The food was good. Quite happy to have found it and will be going back.

Conveniently close to St Stitians school for the sporting events. I enjoyed the lounge dining room area, and had a lovely pizza supper. The breakfast buffet looked amazing but sadly that was not included, so as a single guest paying R1020 a night, I think breakfast could have been included in the price. I actually thought breakfast was included when I booked. Those that had the buffet breakfast loved it, but at around R160 (I cant remember the exact price) , it was not worth it for me as dont eat meat so probably would just have had the scrambled eggs. All staff are nice. Love the outside pool courtyard area. Hope to be back there next year.
