The location is amazing and the food from the kitchen is great. There was no dinner kitchen when I stayed so they gave me meat to cook myself in the room and it was a fantastic experience!

Amazing time at the Lodge. Not only was the food (even catered for vegan) fantastic, but the ability to hike and mountain bike around this huge reserve gave us real freedom to experience the land and wildlife. Thank you Willem for your hospitality.

This drive is not for the faint hearted but if you are prepared it is worth every minute. The roads are all gravel, rough, broken up and falling away down the mountainsides. But the views are spectacular. You need to be a competent driver with a good safe vehicle, take it steady and you will be alright.

Charming, rustic grand cottage with a nice backyard. We rented the whole cottage and enjoyed the privacy and peace and quiet in the middle of rural country. We had the most impressive sunset ever and loved comming home while we were gazed at by the ostriches. That was so much fun! Make sure to visit the Meiring Poort and the Swartberg pass. Both are so beautiful. Have lunch at Swartberg hotel in Prince Albert.

Very comfortable room with a very large bathroom and breakfast was superb each morning. Met our hosts on arrival with a complementary drink at the bar overlooking the garden. Hosts were very friendly and recommended several restaurants and locations to visit and even booked two reservations for us. They recommended a fanastic road trip including the Cango Caves, Prince Albert and a drive over the amazing Swartberg Pass

Nice accommodation with ostriches (only seasonal!) , some antilopes and sheep in an enclosure and good restaurant. Rooms were comfortable and big enough. The lodge is very close to the Cango Caves and to Swartberg Pass.

We loved our two evenings at the cottage. It’s so peaceful with lots of bird life and a pack of 7 springboks. The location is great for the Swartberg Pass, Cango Caves, ostrich farms, central Oudtshoorn and some great restaurants. However everything is catered for in the cottage and spending the evenings around the braai was just perfect for us. Our host Neil was very helpful and informative, and made us feel totally at home! If we ever get the opportunity to come again we certainly will!

We enjoyed every minute of our stay! The staff were friendly and made us feel right at home. They went out of their way to cater to our dietary requirements- all the food at breakfast and dinner was delicious! The game drive was lovely and thanks to the keen eye of our guide we saw many beautiful animals. The beds were comfortable, the showers were hot - perfect after a day of exploring. The lodge is close to the Cango Caves and the Swartberg Pass so ideally situated for sightseeing in the area.
