This lodge is incredibly lovely and peaceful, beautifully immersed in the Amazonia forest facing the Tambopata River. Not far from Puerto Maldonado, but you feel like lost in the deep of the forest. The rooms are huge and perfect, with an incredibile view on the river. All the meals are made with love by the kind Pierina and are truly delicious. The excursions are marvelous: we enjoyed the night walking in the forest, the kayak trip on the river, the cayman ‘buscada’ and the tour to Sandoval Lake. The staff is so caring and sweet - a special thanks to Ciro and Jaime! Our Amazonian visit could haven’t been better than here! Recommended by heart.

The owners and the staff was very helpful and very professional. The location was perfect not very far away from Puerto Maldonado. Breakfast and all the meals it was pretty good 😊. High recommend the property. Also I will like to thank Manuel our guide was excellent and very professional too.

The stay in Casa Amazonas was a magnificent experience. I liked the hospitality of the owner and the many spaces to relax, doing yoga and meditate. We enjoyed the beautiful lodge and delicious food. Beds were comfortable and we were grateful that the entire cabin was screened in (vs some lodges that only provide mosquito netting around the beds). This meant we could enjoy the room, take a shower, etc, without fear of becoming a meal for the bugs.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable, nice views outside. The meals were delicious and varied and we got juice and water as well. We booked the wild Tambopata tour and was great. Was a great place to relax at the end of the Perú trip. The tours were informative and fun and the day also had time for relaxing in the hammock. The transfer was well organized and the boat trip was comfortable.

Emmanuel and his family take care of all of your needs. All you need to do is arrive and he will advice and assist you with all of your plans from taxis to tours. We arrived at 2pm and were able to join the 4.30pm sunset tour on the very first day. All of the main tours are easily organised by Emmanuel and some of these pick you up by boat from the property. Food was fantastic. Villa was very clean and comfortable and right on the Tambopata river. We loved our time at Sunrise of Tambopata!

Very nice lodge, in the middle of the jungle. Many birds and small wild life in the lodge. Expeditions organised by the lodge are various and with excellent guide (Moses). The swimming pool is a plus. Cook is great. Bungalows are very confortable. We highly recommend !

I totally recommend this property. It is a perfect place where You can stay and disconnect, chill and enjoy the nature. The rooms are basic but at the same time have everything what’s needed. There is kitchen as well where You can prepare Your meals, during the weekend they offer restaurant service as well. Garden is well maintained. You don’t need to take any additional trips, as you’re able to go by yourself deeper to the jungle which belongs to the property. As well if you’re lucky you can spot some wild animals. The owners of the place are really nice and helpful. I had really good time time!

A real gem in the middle of the rainforest. Stunning nature all around, friendly and welcoming owner, comfortable cottages. We visited Peru when there were riots and roadblocks everywhere, but we felt very safe and protected in La Habana Amazon Reserve. The two dogs on the premises deserve extra praise: they are perfectly behaved and one of them always accompanied us when we went to the rainforest or the river - very safe. We definitely recommend having dinner there as well - the best food we ate during our three-week trip to Peru (Lomo saltado, Milanese chicken, etc.).
