The place is very remote, relaxed, peaceful and in the middle of the forest. If we only knew, we would have stayed longer. This is a little peace of heaven. Lilian is great! We loved her, such a nice, one of a kind lady and host. We hope to come back soon and stay longer. The bed was cosy, big large room, great patio surrounded by nature.

The kitchenette has a fridge, a microwave and a toaster and there is shower with free toiletries and a hairdryer. We loved the tropical forest that surrounds Gunnadoo Hut and the wonderful views from the deck. It was so scenic and peaceful. It was great to relax in the jacuzzi at the end of the day. The accommodation was very cosy and welcoming with nice decor and the outdoor barbeque area was well-equipped. The owner, Gigi, was very friendly and advised us to back into the driveway to the Hut. The driveway was steep as advised by Gigi, so you need an SUV with AWD or a 4WD with low range.

One of the most special places we’ve stayed at. Charming cottages in the middle of the rain forest, very intimate, good food at the restaurant and Jason being a great host. 9 cassowaries over two days of which one was at the lodge!
Our stay at Safari Lodge was perfect. We loved waking up in the forest to the sound of birds and other wildlife. The bed was super comfortable, and the cabin was beautifully designed.
The location was fantastic in the middle of the Daintree. Our room was very basic but the bed was comfortable. We stayed three nights and had dinner there twice and breakfast once, we enjoyed all of our meals. Julie, on the front desk, was excellent and went above and beyond to sort out tours for us. We enjoyed all of them - Ziplining, Jungle Night tour, Ocean Safari to the Great Barrier Reef and the Cooper Creek boat tour where we saw some crocodiles.
The room was beautiful, just like the picture. My adult sons stayed in a nearby room as well. We arrived after check-in to clear directions on how to access our rooms. The lodge was in a remote location and it was a fun and beautiful adventure to get there (including a car ferry that was very easy to use - just drive up and go). We did not realize that the paved road to access the Lodge closed during the night (due to road work). We were lucky to arrive prior to closing!
The lodges at Mist are great! A great size for a couple, very neat and modern. The location is amazing, quite close to the Turtle Rock Cafe and some nice boardwalks. You're really nestled into the rainforest which is lovely. There are lots of cool palms and trees on the property as well. Lilian was super helpful and welcoming. It was lovely to cook a nice bbq on the verandah each night, and the beds are really comfy. Highly recommend as a nice place to stay when visiting the Daintree.
- lovely lodges -amazing food!!!
Basic but clean and in a great location! We booked a snorkelling tour with Ocean Safari who also run this lodge.
We really enjoyed our stay in the rainforest. The lodges feel like they are deep in the jungle and, even though they are part of a larger 6- or 7-lodge setup, you cannot see or hear other guests. It was the perfect rainforest retreat. We ate at the restaurant that evening after receiving a message to pre-order. This worked really well and we enjoyed our food. Scott was really helpful in recommending local sights to see.
