If you would like to discover the area, hiking is possible in the surroundings. The room was spacious, the bed was ridiculously comfortable and it was dead silent at night so naturally deep sleep ensued and I woke up refreshed! I didn’t eat the breakfast so I am unable to comment but the grounds are beautiful and well kept. Only 7-8 mins drive to charming downtown Nevada City and a little further is Grass Valley.

Nice restaurant and pool barbecue with amazing view, cool weather, pine trees smell, you’ll love it. It’s kinda far from all the spots, but we enjoyed every single ride to every view location. The lodge offers 3-star accommodation with a hot tub. What a lovely location!! We really enjoyed our stay. It was nice to have the kitchen and fireplace.

Cardiff State Beach is 5 minutes’ walk away. Very nicely appointed room; Classy, unique decor, great shower, comfy bed, view of the ocean (Room 202). Friendly and professional staff. Prompt and thorough housekeeping service. Very comfortable. Well situated to local beach communities.

Coffee, tea, and pastries are available in the Lobby in the morning daily. Farley Bar, with live music on certain days, is available at Cavallo Point Lodge. Cooking classes are also available in the Cavallo Point Cooking School. This is a pet-friendly resort. What a magical stay. Just one night but I would most definitely go back. Perfect oasis before a work summit in the city. So beautiful and calm. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is super relaxed. We didn't dine in the evening, but the breakfast was delicious and speedy. The shop is also really good with so many nice pieces, including lots of clothing (dangerously good), and very attentive assistants.
