Offering garden views, Langa Langa Safari Camp - Inc 2 Kruger Safaris Daily in Sabi Sand Game Reserve offers accommodation, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, a shared lounge, a terrace and a bar. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. Fantastic staff. The main caretaker, Kaley, is great when it comes to customer service. She made sure our stay was comfortable and even went out of the way to pack picnic sandwiches for us when we wanted to venture out on our own. The safari guide, Floid, is very knowledgeable, and if you stay for 2-3 days, he'll make sure you see every type of animal you had on your wish list. These guys include 1 complimentary safari per night of your stay (so if you stay for 3 nights, 3 safaris are inclusive), and I feel it's the best package because a couple of self drives in Kruger are a must do in my opinion, just for the thrill of it. The tents are quite comfortable and have all the amenities you'd expect in a luxurious hotel room. The AC works well (believe me, you NEED it if you visit in the summers like we did), the pool is clean, the bathrooms are great. The food was superlative - we had exotic 3 course complimentary dinners every single evening. I suggest booking a minimum of 3 days to really get the most out of Kruger.

The tented chalets situated within the main lodge area come with a deck and a seating area. Certain chalets are equipped with a bath, shower and free toiletries, while one chalet, known as chiDanga, is equipped with an en suite shower which opens onto the deck. What an incredible experience at Muweti. We were hosted by Audrey and our guide Neil. They were both extremely kind and really took good care of us. The room was spacious and comfortable with all amenities you'd expect. The property is well-kept and with only 3 lodges it maintains a calm aura. The food was absolutely spectacular - the kitchen really works wonders. Our day always began with a morning game drive, followed by breakfast, some free time, lunch, and then an afternoon game drive. We rounded off with a sit by the fire and then dinner and drinks. Everything was very well coordinated and efficient. The game drives were super. Not only did we see a lot of animals and birds (Muweti is located inside a private reserve), but the level of knowledge that Neil had was unreal. We learned a lot about the behaviors, habits, and physiology of many animals, birds and even trees from Neil. He's young, talented, and very funny so the game drives were incredibly fun. We'd go back to Muweti in a heartbeat - it was a great experience.

Pondoro has three architecturally designed chalets overlooking the Olifants River. Each chalet has been beautifully decorated with an African theme. All chalets have en-suite bathrooms (with a shower and bath overlooking the river), lounge area, air-conditioning, mosquito nets and a wooden deck. To the Pondoro staff and in particular our guide Dewald and tracker Andres, thank you for the unforgettable experience! Dewald and Andres were very knowledgeable about wildlife, and we got to see the big 5 - including a leopard poised on a tree with its kill - and many other animals up close over a 4 day tour. Back at the lodge, everything from food to room had a personal touch. The kitchen did amazing breakfast (avo toast and Pondoro breakfast were our favourites) and exceptional starters, and the rooms were cleaned 2-3 times a day with a personal pick me up note each time. Truly a stellar experience!

The airy lodges at the Motswari Private Game Reserve feature thatched roofs, each equipped with air conditioning and unrivalled savannah views from large wooden decks. They combine traditional décor with a designer touch and include a lounge and bathrooms with bathtub. Had an amazing stay at Motswari. Our room was clean and cozy, everyone super helpful and kind and food was great. The pool had a nice view over a creek where animals come to drink. The game drives were amazing, we did 6 and managed to see the big 5 after 4 game drives. Nice detail is that you get assigned to the same team (guide + tracker) every game drive, so you get to know them better and they know exactly which animals you've already seen and still want to see. We were with Rudolf and Lot, both very good at their jobs and nice/fun guys to be around. The reserve was managed very well, there were never more than 2 cars around an animal sighting which made it feel more special and less intrusive to the animals than in other parts of Kruger. Price was quite steep for us, but after all worth the experience. Would come back.
