Our stay at Babanango Game reserve at the Madwaleni River lodge and Zulu Rock Lodge was an experience we will never forget. The Lodge is a fantastic " tent" with all the comfort you can imagine. Our Diner was served as a private dinner at the libary, in the winecellar and other places. We also had a suprise breakfast outdoors in the wild, absolutly fantastic. Under the guidance of one of the best experts, mr Eduan Balt, we enjoyed the gamedrives in the morning and afternoon. We never learned so much during all those gamedrives in our whole life. Special thanks to Lungelo, Lunka and Ntombi and everyone of the staff , they were all very friendly and forthcoming, This was a once in a lifetime experience.

It is a self catering unit and well equipped. The housekeeping staff were respectful and ensured our space was well cleaned. Special thanks to Diana for her impeccable service, quick responses to our queries and overall attention to detail. Fresh towels were provided on a daily basis. The bedding was neat and super cosy. Toiletries were also provided - shampoo/conditioner/soap. A dishwasher is installed in the kitchen which came in handy with a large family! The Lodge was an absolute gem and ideal for a family break. I had the privilege to celebrate my birthday with my family after 6 years and the location was perfect. Definitely a vacation that will forever remain close to my heart. ♥️

Set on the banks of the Tugela River, 22 km north of Winterton, Tugela River Lodge features self-catering accommodation 13 km from Spioenkop Nature Reserve and 22 km from Winterton Museum. We really enjoyed our time at Tugela River Lodge. There’s so many things to do within the property like kayak, mountain bike, trails, and little farm area. It’s very clean and the staff and owner are super friendly and always willing to assist. The farm stall has a lot of supplies, so if you forget anything you wouldn’t even need to drive out. Very pet friendly as well - everything we could do with our little mini dachshund. She loved her time there and the fenced off area is big and safe. The wood-fired tub is an amazing way to wind down. The view is amazing and Bheki always comes to help fire it up ahead of time. All in all a fantastic experience as a couple, and I’m sure it’d be lovely for a family and friends group too!

Located in Botha’s Hill, within the Valley of 1000 Hills, Matusadona Guest Lodge offers a garden and outdoor pool. Durban is 28 km from the property. Free WiFi is available . The location was easy to find. The rooms were spacious and very clean, the pool was also spotlessly clean. They have a good Wi-Fi. The staff were extremely accommodating, warm and helpful (John and Panache), they made us feel at home and made sure we had everything we needed. John even went as far as helping us with our luggage on our arrival and when we leave, he also opened the kitchen for us after hours to warm our food and helped us with it. He is such an amazing person. Panache prepared the pool area for us to enjoy the view have a picnic. They provided a wonderful breakfast, they created a home away from home atmosphere. Everything was lovely and exactly as it is in the pictures.

Perched on top of a hill, Umzolozolo Private Safari Lodge is situated in the malaria-free Nambiti Big 5 Private Game Reserve. It boasts a rim flow pool overlooking a valley. We loved everything about our stay at Umzolozolo Lodge - from the stay, the facilities, the game drives to the fantastic staff. Nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond all the time.
