Beautiful, small lodge in a quiet location. Great value for money. Tessa the guest relation manager and all the other staff are amazing, super friendly and accommodating. They arranged for us different tours and were always providing valuable program suggestions. We especially liked the horse riding at Bhanghazi stables and the night turtle tour with Shakabarker Tours. We stayed 5 days at Leopards Corner Lodge and enjoyed a lot. Thank you Tessa&team for making our stay so memorable.

What made my stay unforgettable was the warm smiles and genuine hospitality of exceptionally friendly staff - Deline, Angel and Armstrong. For accommodation in Oribi Gorge, this is a perfect place.

The reserve itself is stunning, a true sanctuary of preservation and care, with a project that meaningfully involves and benefits the local community. We were lucky enough to see the Big 5 in breathtaking surroundings. The service was exceptional: spotless rooms, consistently kind and attentive staff, and delicious à la carte meals that exceeded expectations. It’s the perfect place for anyone seeking peace, excitement, and a deep connection with nature. But the real highlight of our stay was our guide, Zee. It was truly a privilege to meet and learn from him. Zee is incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much about the vegetation, the animals, and Zulu culture. Beyond his expertise, he stood out for his kindness, care, and dedication to every detail. He turned each game drive into something extraordinary and made our experience unforgettable. Set on the banks of the Tugela River, 22 km north of Winterton, Tugela River Lodge features self-catering accommodation 13 km from Spioenkop Nature Reserve and 22 km from Winterton Museum. We loved this location - quaint, comfortable, and welcoming. The setting and the cabin were fabulous. Julian, our host was great. The cabin had everything we needed. It was clean and roomy, and the beds were comfortable. The wood-heated hot tub was fun. Guest could rent bikes, buy firewood, and 'shop' in the farm stall for fresh eggs, honey, wonderful homemade freezer meals, and much more There are several trails right out the front door that enable you to hike or mountain bike to a reserve with zebras and giraffes. We all wished we could have stayed longer! Thanks Julian!
