Just less than 5 minutes walk to the beach, in terms of cleanliness, this hotel was just immaculate and by far supercedes all other hotels in the area. The food was delicious and full of variety, supporting even our picky Canadian tastes/likes 😊. The staff were all professionals and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. Special thanks to Mr. & Ms. N..... , Ms. Eva, Mr. Kosta, Mr. Grisha and Mr. Boris, Ms. Melikan, Ms. Evgenia and not to forget the great bartenders Mr. Kelown and Mr. Nikola. This was our first stay at Hotel Continental but it will not be our last. We intend to spend our summers enjoying the beautiful Golden Sands and stay at Hotel Continental again. We visited Golden Sands for the first time a few years ago, staying at another hotel, and that was when we first discovered the beauty of this Bulgarian resort. This year we were happy to return, and we chose Hotel Astoria. Why did we decide on Astoria? Both my wife and I work in the hotel industry in one of the northern capitals of Europe, so we approached the choice from a professional point of view. We carefully read the reviews on Booking.com, looked at the overall rating (which was high), and considered the location — close to the sea and the central points of the town. And we were not mistaken! From the moment we arrived, we evaluated the housekeeping with a professional eye, and it was excellent. At check-in, we faced a small difficulty, which sometimes happens, but the reception team, especially Elena and manager Katrin, resolved it quickly and professionally. This not only did not spoil our mood but actually lifted it and left us with admiration. Well done! The food and entertainment were also on a high level. We are certain we will come back again. Beautiful scenery, the hotel is based on a cliff above the sea and provides a gorgeous sea view. I spent most of my days by the infinity swimming pool, which was my favourite part of the hotel. The deckchairs were extremely comfortable. There is a small beach just below the hotel and the central beach not too far. Clean rooms, friendly staff. Would definitely love to return.
