I've happily stayed at this modest motel many times over the years. It is well staffed; clean, very comfortable and quiet, and has everything needed for a relaxing night's stay--a fridge, kettle and microwave, tea and coffee, a TV, heater, table, comfy couch, good internet, soap and shampoo, etc. (A window can be opened--always a plus for me!) Behind and below the motel is a peaceful bend in the river. (There are good eateries--including the Soldiers Club--a short drive away in the town's centre.)

Easy to find. Love at door free parking. Electric blankets and air con in for our arrival at a chilly time of year. Well equipped with cutlery and crockery for breakfast. Great value.

We have stayed several times at Thunderbird Motel because of the known comfort of the beds, the fact there is an onsite restaurant and the minimal distance required to take of the "main drag" from Melbourne to Port Macquarie. It is an excellent halfway stopover between these locations and not too long a drive from Melbourne.

The staff were really friendly and really helpful. The motel looked really good from the road. I liked that you could park your car straight out the front of theroom.

The Thunderbird Motel was a convenient stay on our journey south. The staff are friendly and helpful, the bed comfortable and the room large. Located within easy walking distance of the centre of Yass it ticked all the boxes for us. We didn’t dine at the motel’s delightfully named Ewe ‘n Me restaurant, so I can’t comment on that, instead we had a hugely enjoyable tapas meal and drinks at the deservedly popular Yazzbar in town and then walked back to the motel.

The family room we stayed in was Extra Large. So good for traveling with teenage children. Spacious, clean, beds were comfortable, king bed and two singles. The pool area was lovely. The motel is conveniently located at the end of the main street, therefore, you can walk to and from restaurants and cafes. Free parking right outside the room door. Check-in was easy with a convenient safety box for late arrivals.

This is the worst motel I’ve ever stayed at the beds were like hard hammocks rolled into the middle every time u moved was like sleeping on the road
