Just a 7-minute walk from East End Surf Life Saving Club, The Strand offers free WiFi, free parking, a 24-hour front desk and studios with a kitchenette. We really liked the location. We felt close to everything, but it was quiet and peaceful. Bathroom was a good size; shower was great. Kitchenette was adequate and well appointed.

We stayed at this motel just for a night travelling through. I wish we could have stayed for longer! the room was so clean and comfortable and spacious. And while it is on a fairly busy road there was no noise once you were in the room. The only noise was the train that ran along the back of the property but this was a bonus for us and was loved by our kids. definitely recommend :-)

Parking was easy and plentiful. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very clean. New Plymouth exceeded our expectations. Great place to walk and eat in. Good park in centre with great facilities.

Lockwood Manor Motel is a 15-minute walk from central New Plymouth. It offers free parking and free use of bicycles to explore the local area. All rooms feature a 42-inch smart TV. Beautiful room. Parking right in front of room. Easy access to motel from the road but quiet in room. Hostess Kelliann was delightful. So kind and friendly. Allowed me to use the motel laundry room late in the evening (also kept hotel guest in room next to the guest laundry room from being bothered by noise of machines).
