The property is absolutely gorgeous, we had the traditional Japanese room which was spacious, clean and very beautiful. The host greeted us, explained everything in great detail, took some pictures and then we were invited to a tea ceremony that was hosted by his mother. I would definitely book the room again - probably the best experience in our Japan trip.

Bathing facilities are shared. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Tocen Goshobo. It was just a few minutes walk away from the bus stops. The onsen bath was atmospheric and the temperature felt just right (not too hot even for inexperienced bathers). The staff was wonderfully welcoming, the room lovely and the futon beds extra comfortable. The Arima onsen village was bigger than we expected, several dinner options (we opted for only breakfast (was superb!) at the Tocen Goshobo).

The room size was perfect for three people, and everything was very clean. The staff were incredibly friendly and warm, and they helped us with everything we needed. Our room also included an onsen pass, which was a great bonus. The location was also very convenient.

The food was AMAZING and the staff was super friendly and helpful. They provided everything we needed to go to the onsen. It was a fantastic experience.

The 4-star ryokan has garden views and is 4.2 km from Seto Shrine. The ryokan offers a hot spring bath and a housekeeping service. The traditional Japanese breakfasts were amazing! The private onsens in the hotel were beautiful and relaxing and the public onsens were great too!

Boasting an open-air hot springs bath and spacious garden, Arima Grand Hotel is located a 10-minute walk away from Arima Onsen Station. Free WiFi is available in all rooms. Free private parking is also available on site. The entire property is non-smoking, while guests can smoke in the designated smoking area. Amazing hotel. Not a cheap one, but it is definitelly worth the money. We definitelly recommend to take a room with a view, seeing mountains in the morning was wonderful. We didn't have a ryokan-type room but were still amazed by the quiality of everything - cleanliness, design, etc. Our room had a capsule coffee machine, a set for drinking tea, hair brushes, hair pins and other small things that added a pinch of comfort to our stay. The hotel also provides guests with Japanese-style clothing: a set of a "shirt" and pants, and a yukata. You can walk in it everywhere in the hotel which was very nice. The hotel has public onsens on two floors, both have open-air baths. The staff is very understanding and would help with the rules of visiting. You can also book private onsens that turned out to be not very expensive. Sometimes the hotel holds special events. We managed to visit stargazing and saw Jupiter through a telescope while eating sweet potatos! The hotel provides a bus that regularly travels through the Arima village. You can also call the hotel to pick you up. The village itself is very beautiful. There is a ropeway to the nearby mountain. I heard you can also hike to the summit.

Free WiFi is provided throughout the property and private parking is available on site at a fee. Meals were excellent. It was the best buffet I've had. It was easy to get to the downtown district of Kobe and a bonus that it was easy access to the airport limosine bus to get to kansai

Featuring an open-air bath, the 4-star ryokan has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, a lift and luggage storage for guests. We had the best time at Shinzan Kinosaki! The staff was friendly and helpful. They upgraded our room during our check-in and we were absolutely blown away by the place and treatment. Extremely clean, beautiful and luxurious feeling. Both the dinner and breakfast were amazing experiences, it was fun to walk around in the yukata provided by the hotel and the onsen experience itself was very nice. Absolutely nothing negative to highlight, We will definitely return during our next visit to Japan!
