The private onsen was a great way to relax and warm up since we were there in Feb. The location seemed a little far at first because it is a 15 min walk (or short bus) from Gora Station but it ended up being perfect. The hotel is near 4 bus lines so actually allowed us to get around to our hiking destinations, odowara station and the open air museum easily.

Great view, well maintained property, beautiful landscape and garden, wide selection for dinner and breakfast, food is top notch and generous. Staff are well trained and professional.

Guests at Hakone Mount View can enjoy rare volcanic hot spring water called nigori-yu, either in a shared open-air bath or at a surcharge in a private one. The hotel offers a shop with local products, Japanese-style confectionery shop. The Dinner was an amazing cultural experience as was the Private Onsen, the staff were very proffesional and helpful, and the facility was very clean and comfortable.

Trust me when I say this, but you will not walk away hungry. Also, it is best not to eat before dinner. Head my warning because I did not. .

The hotel staff is extremely friendly and professional, the onsen area is beautiful and has a view over the mountains surrounding the hotel. For breakfast, we opted for the traditional Japanese restaurant and everything was perfect, form the food to the ambience and the location.
