The inn was so beautiful and many wonderful qualities. It's location is in the middle of a lively street full of shops and restaurants and a close (though uphill) walk to a temple. The in-room amenities were wonderful: whole coffee beans, a grinder, a coffee pot and cups, a separate teapot and teacups, pajamas, robes, and any necessary toiletries. The provided breakfast and dinner was delicious, traditional Japanese fare with English menus to explain the nightly courses (though I'd still suggest having a translator app). Last, but certainly not least: the baths were incredible. I appreciate that the private baths did not need a reservation and were all themed differently. So relaxing!! All my worries melted away here.

Wine was a very reasonable cost

For more relaxation, it has a sauna and a games room, while massages can be arranged. Wonderful spot to experience some local color of Japan. Beautiful area in the mountains. Onsen was gorgeous. Traditional Japanese dinners and breakfasts were an experience and a treat. The hotel did a wonderful job of accommodating our vegetarian diet.

Japanese-style room was very comfortable, with very attentive and professional staff.

The mini house is very well and thoughtfully constructed. As is almost always the case in Japan, all the utensils such as hairdryers, shower gel, toothbrushes etc. are provided. These are of particularly high quality (eco/organic) here. The beds under the roof are very comfortable and you sleep excellently. To fall asleep, you can watch the stars through the skywindow. The surroundings are very quiet. Everything is quiet, so you can relax on the terrace. Ryota, the owner, offers free bicycles that are great for exploring the area. If you want, you can also book surfing and stand-up paddle with Ryota. The water is perfect for this and still warm enough at the end of October.
