From the outside, it looks like many other Swiss guest houses, but once inside, you realise how nice it is. The staff are friendly. The room was very spacious with a large bathroom and a large patio. The food in the restaurant was much better than we expected while still being a reasonable price. In summer you can eat outside in the courtyard. Breakfast was also excellent. There are many great hiking trails close by.

We adored our stay at Vanette, and will surely return! Her B&B is a truly visionary project, and deserves all the success : it is clear that she put so much love and attention in every detail. The rooms are super modern, very cozy, and we both liked the concept of combined bed and sofa, in which we very well. We had a healthy breakfast together in the beautiful veranda, while having very inspiring discussions. The surrounding area is beautiful and quiet.

I recently had the pleasure of staying with my family at The R Apartment Passwang in Balsthal, and I must say, it was an excellent experience. First and foremost, the apartments were absolutely stunning. They were brand new and beautifully designed, providing a modern and comfortable ambiance. The cleanliness of the apartments was impeccable, and we were delighted to find everything in pristine condition upon arrival. Parking was hassle-free, as The R Apartment Passwang provided ample space for our vehicles. It was a relief to have a dedicated parking area, ensuring the safety and convenience of our stay. One of the highlights of our stay was the fully equipped kitchen. It was a joy to cook and prepare meals in such a well-appointed space. The kitchen had all the necessary appliances, utensils, and cookware, making it easy for us to whip up delicious meals for the family. We appreciated the thoughtfulness of the management in providing such a functional kitchen. Overall, our family stay at The R Apartment Passwang was truly exceptional. The completely new apartments, convenient parking facilities, and the fully equipped kitchen made our experience unforgettable. I stayed at the Gasthof Kreuz while cycling the Gavel Trans Jura. Now imagine one sedond: I arrived after cycling 9 hours under pouring rain covered in mud like Peppa Pig at end of an episode. I did have the time to apologize because I was offered bike wash and the manager was super cool and understanding when I left some mud in the hallway. It’s a family business and the whole family was incredibly warm and hospitable. We also stayed for dinner and the salad dressing was a masterpiece. Big thank you for this enjoyable stay!
