I visited Rapa Nui for two nights in December 2024 and Kitai Cabanas was really the best place to stay and made my short trip wonderful. The hosts are lovely persons and make the guests to feel welcome. Even before arrival communication was great and all questions have been answered quickly. Pick up at the airport was included and drop off at departure as well. The cottage is spacious, clean and a fully eqipped kitchen (which I did not use though, as Kitai Cabanas is next to many good restaurants). Water dispender is in the room, which was convinient. Room, bath and kitchen have been clean and I had a nice terrace with garden view. There are many lovely cats arround. Bed was comfortable. Wifi worked well. I booked also an island tour with the hosts and Kevin is an excellent guide. Very knowlegable about the history and culture of Rapa Nui.

New hotel with large rooms, clean, well equiped. Great breakfast and super kind, friendly and efficient team. Next to the road to all view points and 5 minute drive to the city center. Swimming pool and nice garden large terrace for each room. It is also not a very big impersonel hotel with numerous rooms, so really at the size of the island.

We were met at the airport by the staff who kindly gave us a lei on arrival and brought us to our accommodation. There is a lovely see view from the balcony and walking distance into the main town. The accommodation has great facilities and Paulina had been so helpful from day one of booking. Thanks for our stay.

We loved every minute spent at this place. Everybody was truly kind and willing to help and we enjoyed being around this great family. The room was clean and big, with enough space to store your belongings. We rent a car at a very good price and they even do have a small souvenirs shop. And if you really want to treat yourself, take the opportunity to ask for an amazing ceviche.

Super comfortable and clean cabin in Hanga Roa. The place is so special, you just have to see it to believe it. Steps from the moai and the coastline. Convenient to groceries and restaurants. I loved every second. The room is private, has everything you need! I will be back!!

From the moment we arrived at Kona Koa Lodge, we knew our stay was going to be something special. Nestled in the breathtaking landscape of Rapa Nui, this lodge truly exceeded our expectations in every way. Jerome, our host, was the epitome of warmth and hospitality. He was attentive and always available to help with anything we needed, from local tips to arranging transportation. His guidance made our stay both easy and enjoyable. The room itself was a highlight. Spacious and immaculately clean, it offered a tranquil retreat after days spent exploring the island. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep, and the overall quietness of the location meant that every morning we woke up refreshed and ready to tackle the day's adventures. The lodge’s amenities and its serene setting contributed to a feeling of exclusive privacy and comfort. For anyone visiting Rapa Nui, I cannot recommend Kona Koa Lodge enough.
