This hotel is Shanghai's best kept secret. If you need to stay north of the city, stay here. It feels like a miniature Disneyland. Pictures of the grand staircase are accurate and do not disappoint. Staff checking in told me that the rate for my room had changed -- it had actually become *cheaper* relative to what I booked. They spent a half hour trying to get me the cheaper room rate -- outstanding. The bedroom was luxurious, like staying in a palace. Largest bed I've ever seen -- 1.5x wider than it was long. Short walk from Baoyang Rd metro station. Maybe a half hour to get back to the city on the metro, so not too long though it feels long the first time! Mall next door has food and other amenities. Breakfast was delicious. This was the best hotel I stayed in for the price during my last trip to China.

I had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel! The experience was truly delightful from start to finish. The breakfast was a standout, especially the excellent Chinese options which were fresh and delicious. The room was spacious, immaculately cleaned, and offered a beautiful view which made it even more enjoyable. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, always ready to assist with any request. Overall, it was a fantastic stay and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort and excellent service!

This is a large hotel, located a 5-minute walk from Nanjing Road, a 15-minute walk from The Bund, and a 6-minute walk from the nearest metro station, People's Square, which offers access to three lines (1, 2, and 8). Metro line 2 provides direct access to both of Shanghai's airports. It is very convenient for visiting Zhujiajiao and other locations in Shanghai. A 3-minute walk will take you to a restaurant area near the hotel, where you can find good food at reasonable prices. The hotel is very clean, the staff are helpful, and the rooms are well-equipped. I strongly recommend this hotel to other travelers

The hosts were very hospitable and could speak English as China is very very poor with the language. The apartment also has hospitality package like shower gel, shampoo, toothbrushes, and even extra, laundry tablets if you need to do your laundry.

I stayed here for 1 night during my trip to Eastern China and liked it so much that I stayed there again when I came back to Shanghai from Hangzhou. I especially liked the comfort of my room, the location and the great service mentality of the staff, particularly Tang who kindly handled my check-in and check-out.

It’s clean, spacious, the staff speak very good English so for an international traveler like me that was a major plus! They are extremely helpful, they helped me order rides, set up my we chat and Alipay accounts, recommended excursions.

We had wrongly clicked on booking for the room without breakfast and not with breakfast, and the price difference was only 1 euro per night. The hotel let us cancel for free and rebook so we'd have the breakfast included in our room rate. Karen, working at the check-in was very helpful and spoke great English (otherwise it would have been impossible). The atmosphere and odor in the hotel is very nice; the view from the rooftop and punch bar are great and the staff is incredible and speaks a very good level of English. We also got a free upgrade of room which was highly appreciated. The breakfast was extraordinary, the cold food is buffet and the warm food is a la carte - so warm and fresh. Just splendid with excellent fresh juice and very nice coffee. 100000% when in Shanghai will stay here again.
