Onda Hostel is beautiful; from the moment you open the bamboo gate and walk around the corner you feel like you have entered some type of paradise. The staff only add to that feeling, bringing some chill beach vibes and big smiles. The location is also perfect. The owners are super lovely. The kitchen is the cleanest I've ever seen in a hostel. The bar has a good happy hour. The yoga and hammock space and sunken lounge - lots of cool areas to hang out.

Arriving at the property involves driving onto the beach (or getting a taxi), which was both daunting and surreal at first, but quickly became one of my favourite things about it. We had an SUV (not 4x4) and had no problems - the sand is really hard and easy to drive on. The owner was extremely communicative and helpful over WhatsApp, and made us feel very welcome during our stay. He's an excellent chef, and we ate at the hotel every day to make the most of his incredible cooking. The property itself is on it's own stretch of a fairly deserted beach (which becomes inaccessible during high tide) and both the views and isolation are beautiful. We went for walks and swam during the day and drifted off to peaceful sound of the waves and wind at night.

I love this place! One of the best hostels where I've been. Super quiet, you can see the ocean from the terrace. There is everything you want here: - Beautiful private rooms. - Tents with mattresses. - Hot shower. - Drinking water. - Big kitchen, very well equipped. - Wifi. - Lot of space, hammocks, a flying mattress to chill. - View on birds and trees. Martin, the owner, is a very kind person, relaxed, generous. The village of Mompiche is amazing. The place here has amazing drawings on the walls. It's super clean and spacious. I love it.
