Nice bar, although we did not use and breakfast and dinner available at an additional cost. I would describe it as functional rather than having any 'wow' factor, but this partly due to the age and layout of the main building. On the plus side, this did make a nice change from modern 'box' hotels. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the bar area was particularly pleasant. Breakfast was very good. Had I wanted something other than on the buffet I could have asked - poached eggs for example. Very friendly staff and a laid back atmosphere. Plenty of indoor comfort in room (such as comfy chairs which many hotels don’t offer) or throughout the downstairs area with large sofas etc. Great location to access town/city and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
