This is an amazing little hideaway. Beautiful views, and all so well thought out with stylish interiors. Great use of space inside the huts with everything you would need. Lovely welcome hamper on arrival. Our two children are 9 and 13 and managed fine in the bunk beds. They loved staying here and lit the outdoor fire both nights. We had gorgeous weather and used the bbq and outdoor space alot. We were so lucky to be one of the first customers at the Roost. Great and useful communication from the hosts. I’m sure this place will be booked up very quickly. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Highly recommend this beautiful place, so glad we found it. We stayed here almost a week and loved it. Really lovely family next door who made us feel at home. A lot of care has gone into the place to make it feel homely and has everything you could need. Easy walk to town. Definitely coming back again next time we’re in Totnes!

    In a great historic setting amidst an old estate. Good, plentiful breakfast included in pub within square. On site, volunteer run cinema (best to pre-book if busy time). Good price for single ensuite room. Lovely historic gardens on site, and walks when weather better. Free parking for those staying.

    Very friendly, welcoming and accommodating host. Pleasant room with comfy super king size bed which the host upgraded us to. Easy parking on site which is a big bonus in a town with limited street parking available. Easy quick walk into Totnes centre. Good cooked breakfast included in price.

    The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly, everybody working seemed to know what they were doing and were very kind and considerate which I appreciated very much. Free parking & a short walk into the centre, nice rooms clean and spacious. And again very kind staff! Keep up the good work!

    The owner met us and handed over the keys on arrival and was very welcoming and informative. He explained shortcuts to the high street, where the supermarkets were and gave us a free parking permit to use in the car park opposite. The location could not be better as it’s a short step to a multitude of restaurants, bars and the market. There was milk in the fridge, plenty of kitchen equipment, crockery etc, the basic condiments in the cupboard and washing up liquid provided. There was a lovely bunch of fresh roses on the table.

    Everything was excellent from the location, setting, building, facilities, staff, views of garden, beds were amazing. Excellent breakfast with lots of choice. Free parking on site. Lovely peaceful and relaxing holiday. Great value for money. Could not have been better. Thank you Julie and everyone for such a wonderful stay 😊
