I knew that I wanted to visit Lillafured but, beyond that, I didn't know much. Hotel Szeleta turned out to be an excellent find. For me, the Palota Lillafured was completely out of my budget-range... but Hotel Szeleta was not :) . Hotel Szeleta and Lillafured are easily reached from Miskolc... I took the tramway from the train station all of the way to the end, and then transferred to Bus 5 or Bus 15, both of which head up to Lillafured. Hotel Szeleta is in a pretty town in the valley called Also-Hamor, so downstream from Lillafured. I think it was about 1- 1.5 km to walk to Lillafured by way of Felso-Hamor, another pretty town with the stream running through it. I was able to have a reasonable lunch at the restaurant in Palota and could walk their beautiful grounds... so it all worked out. In Also Hamor, there appeared to be some restaurants geared toward tourists... but as it was off-season they were not open yet.

Bed is comfortable. Room is alright, nothing special, I guess lodges are better. The swimming pool is amazing. Spacious and relaxing and warm water. Staff is really nice and friendly. Restaurant breakfast is great, a variety of food. Evening meal was alright but nothing special, overpriced in our opinion. Next time we go somewhere else for evening meal.

    The view from the hotel was stunning and the location was excellent for the christmas market and overlooking the lake. The parking was close to the hotel. The views from the hotel was exceptional!

    The location of the hotel is excellent, in front of the lake. It is close to all hiking trails, no need to use a car at all. There is convenient parking, the room is quiet even though it was above their restaurant. The level of cleanliness is excellent. The price is definitely right for what I got.Hotel guests receive a 15% discount in their restaurant. The restaurant is excellent, delicious food and good service.

    Staff very helpful and supportive, they let us visit the closed restaurant room with famous stained glasses. Breakfast and dinner were rich and with many vegetarian options. Closed to the railway station, free parking spot and spa included.
