Julian is very friendly host, moreover excellent bird guide and kingfisher king and I enjoyed all our walks for animals in the park. His wife Treisha is a lovely person and outstanding cook smiling all the time. We recommend. See you next time, our friends!

Lovely staff! Great natural surroundings, perfect room, nowhere we had a cleaner room in all Indonesia. The food was delicious, the mosquito net was doing its job and the outside shower was nice.

The guesthouse is located very close to the Tangkoko National Park entrance, so it is very convenient for guided walks. It is also very close to the beach and a few food/amenities places...extra points for the friendly resident ginger cat

What a gem! We’ve traveled a lot, and this place has probably the most curated and naturally beautiful beach we’ve ever visited. The service is at a really high level, the staff is extremely friendly, kind and helpful. Everything is perfectly curated, and we were spoiled from the moment we stepped in. Snacks are served morning and afternoon, and we had to tell them to stop brining us (delicious) food. Main meals are fresh, locally sourced, and delicious. The manager, Toki, is highly experienced, and even took us strolling around and exploring the nearby area. He joined us several times at the table, and at the end, we felt we were part of their family. Thank you Toki, Micheal and all staff. Leaving this hidden paradise was extremely sad. We will return for sure!

The perfect homestay when visiting Tangkoko. Very clean and comfortable rooms with AC. The best Host (June) is so kind and welcoming. She helped us with everything, even booking a ferry and getting transportation. Can’t ask for more, we had a great time here.

Family owned lodge built in 2024, they were super friendly, the father took us for two guided tours in tangkoko park. One in the evening for tarsier and tarantula, and one in the morning for birds. He was really gentle compared to other guides that used the flashlight directly on the tarsier and scared it. The food was amazing, one of the best meals we had during 8 weeks in Indonesia, Malaysia and Philippines

Very close to the national park and I had an amazing guide “Roy” who worked for the accommodation! The place was very clean and there was a hot shower after the beautiful jungle trekking. The food was also very good and big portions.

Staying at Tangkoko Macaca was a fantastic experience. The location is perfect, just minutes from the entrance of Tangkoko National Park – and we even had black macaques wandering into the garden a few times, which was magical to witness. The accommodation was comfortable and peaceful, providing a great base for exploring the park and relaxing between tours. A special highlight of our stay was our guide, Patrick. He was incredible – deeply passionate about nature, knowledgeable, and respectful of the environment and local culture. He didn’t just help us spot wildlife – he also gave us valuable insight into the local perspective and conservation efforts, which made the experience truly meaningful. Thanks to Patrick and the rich biodiversity of the park, we saw tarsiers, a blue tarantula, black macaques, and a hornbill – it was like stepping into a real-life nature documentary. If you're looking for a comfortable place close to nature, with a guide who genuinely cares, Tangkoko Macaca is the perfect choice. I left feeling inspired and grateful.

We had a fantastic time here! Special thanks to our guide Frankie - thanks to him we saw tarsiers, cuscus and black monkeys. His tour of the park was truly magical - after meeting other tourists with guides, we realized that Frankie was a real hidden gem. And his dolphin tour exceeded all expectations! Frankie is a kind, funny and genuinely passionate person, and we are so glad that we met him.
