We had great time staying at the mundro garden homestay, deepa and her husband are wonderful hosts. They help us with arranging boating and touring of the island. Deepa cooking is very tasty, we also had a cooking lesson and it was a nice experience, we hope will be able to come again .

A gem of a homestay and a gem of a host. From the moment we came to the property, it felt like a little slice of paradise tucked away right next to the water, abs beautiful home away from home! Location is spot on and the owner Suresh was also nice enough to give us his two bicycles for us to explore the island freely. Plenty of space inside and out, all well maintained. Great, homely area outside on the veranda to chill and have food/tea/coffee, which the family is always more than happy to prepare. Suresh will work hard every day to ensure we had everything we needed, including canoe ride, booking transport and also a ride on his very own motorbike around the island's more tucked away corners. We def recommend this homestay to anyone coming to Munroe Island and we hope to return again.

Green Chromide is just amazing!! The location on the river side, the wooden chalet, the food are excellent. Sunaina and her family are so genuine, authentic and welcoming. They have made my stay very memorable. Munroe Island and Green Chromide have touched me deeply. Sunaina arranges everything you want to do in a blink and also understands visitors coming from a different culture. Everybody knows each other, so you will be taken care of with a big smile. We loved everything about this property. Vishnu has created the most perfect space for ultimate relaxation on the beautiful canals of Munroe Island. Vishnu, his wonderful wife Pooni and their two children were incredible to us during our stay, helping us with anything we needed and showing us their island home. Pooni also is an amazing cook, providing wonderful local South Indian foods. Vishnu also took us on a sunset canal tour for multiple hours which was absolutely fantastic, with Vishnu explaining the history and traditions on the Island as we went along. Two bikes are also provided for us to ride around the Island at our own pace exploring everywhere. Overall we loved our stay, and would recommend to anyone who would like to wind down from their busy travels and relax for a few nights. With great wifi speeds, there is also the option of extending your stay and settling down with Vishnu and his family for a few months.

Lovely little homestay!! Anusree, Arun and their family were very friendly and we had a wonderful stay with them. The room was spacious and comfy, we had everything we needed for our one night stay at Munroe Island. Food prepared by Arun’s mother was excellent. We highly recommend this place 🥰 Don’t forget to use their bikes to do a little ride around, the area is very beautiful.
