Absolutely outstanding stay in Nagasaki. The location was perfect — central, convenient, and ideal for exploring the city. The apartment itself was immaculately maintained with exceptional facilities that made the stay feel both comfortable and luxurious. What truly set this accommodation apart, however, was the incredible hospitality. The team were remarkably flexible, responsive, and genuinely went above and beyond to accommodate every request with efficiency and care. Their commitment to guest satisfaction was evident in every interaction. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Nagasaki — a seamless, stress-free experience from start to finish. I would absolutely stay here again.

1. From pre-arrival to departure, personalised service was extended all the time. I appreciated the hotel response to my inquiries prior to our arrival. Swift responses with details at any time. 2. Breakfast was exceptional with local produce. Breakfast set menu was changed daily so we truly enjoyed varieties of dishes and tastes. 3. Establishment itself was historical especially that location.

This ryokan is about as fancy as you can get. It is not in town and required a taxi or shuttle to get there; fortunately they provide a free shuttle but it's on a schedule. Because it's on a hill above the city, it's peaceful and the view is fantastic. The service was friendly and helpful and they spoke English. Signs and information were in English. The room rate included meals for which this ryokan is well known. The meals were exquisite, traditional food artistically prepared. We didn't try the public bath, but it looked clean and was empty. In the waiting area for the public bath, there were massage chairs and foot massage machines that were wonderful after a day of walking around the city. The room had a soaking tub we enjoyed. We felt pampered.

Staff was exceptional. They went above and beyond to meet our needs. They even gave me a birthday surprise. I like that the rooms are big and spacious (versus the usual Japanese rooms which can be very small) - perfect for our family of four with 2 kids. Everything still feels new and very clean. There is also a small lounge with free drinks and snacks.

The experience of the stay is superb! You can actually live like the local Nagasaki people (on the hill) and listen to the sound from the vessel or the Mitsubishi ship yard. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The house is exactly what we’re looking for. Highly recommended for people who want to experience the area.
