I arrived late by cycling around 7pm. The road it self was quite dark with no street light. Meaning location wise if u are going to check-in late, better mindful to reach early. It was kind enough that the staff willing to wait for me. He was super friendly and I had a good time.

We have been traveling for 7 weeks in Japan and this was one of the best stays we have experienced. The old house has been very nicely renovated. Our host Mari (who is an architect) was a brilliant host. She is still improving her English (and getting better!), and we had great conversations in the evening (with the help of Google translator) - and I do not speak any Japanese (except for a few words). The food she prepared was very tasty and nicely prepared. And we had a really good tea ceremony with two elderly ladies from the village (great fun!). If we would be coming back to the area - then I would stay here again. Many thanks Mari.

Fantastic hostel. We stayed a regular room. Shared bathroom, but never had to wait for it, and the water pressure was perfect! Owners are super friendly and speak great English. Everything was clean. Had everything to make a nice pour over coffee in the morning. Cafe was separate from the hostel, but the food was really good!

Cute place with cozy beds and nice atmosphere in room. Located in nice town close to shrine and wisteria garden and several good restaurants. Shared toilets and shower we're very clean. We were very happy there after a day of cycling!

The host was very friendly and welcoming. His English was good. The private two person room is great, spacious and well equipped and felt very homely. All the facilities were very clean. I am tall but still fit comfortably on the bunk bed.

The location is perfect if you are cycling through the islands. The hosts were so welcoming and helpful. They made reservations for us in a local restaurant and made sure we had everything we needed. Our room was clean comfortable with air conditioning, a small kitchen, private bath and there is bbq in the courtyard you can use. You are across the street from a beach where you can swim. All in all a great stay and when we left the owner gave my wife a fan as a parting gift. Highly recommended.

Perfect location when doing Shimanami Kaido in two days. However not much else around. Seems brand new.
