We loved the view over the lake during breakfast and diner, slept very well on the futons. No noise. We didnt stay long enough to enjoy any of the activities they offered, but it looked good. Loved the diner too! Highly recommended. Fish in the morning had an amazing sauce.

I had a very relaxing and quiet time in an authentic Japanese house in the countryside. After returning from Biwaichi Cycling, we took a nap on the tatami mats and enjoyed BBQ in the garden for dinner. At night it was a pleasure to see fireflies in the brook just nearby. It looks like it can accommodate a few more people. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends.

It was the best place to stay in Shiga, Takashima and was the highlight of our trip in Japan. We stayed for two nights. The kindness of Fujiwara-san has constantly surprised me. He is very welcoming, attentive and helpful throughout our stay. We even received a beautiful thank you note from the host! It was a nice touch. The place is very clean and the scenery is gorgeous.
