The view from the outdoor bath tub is absolutely gorgeous! Magical! The house is clean and simple but has all the amenities to feel comfortable and at home. The host/owner was very responsive, provided good recommendations for places to go and things to eat. He personally visited us and gave us his home-made wine too. So sweet and thoughtful! A place we will come back to stay again.

Old house with not simply vintage style but real details. Love all the furniture and the wood stove at first sight. Nobu welcomed us with some nice herbal tea. She speaks fluent English and we had some nice conversations. She also recommended and gave us a ride to a nice public bath. What we cherished most is the special visit to Mr. Kawanaka, the local artist. It’s our pleasure to meet him and appreciate his artwork. Truly memorable journey. Thank you!

The staff is very helpful in responding to our inquiry and very kind to pick us up and drive us to the station on check out. She speaks English fluently so we can have some chats through which we learned more about the region and the local people. Besides basic utensils and facilities, there are even coffee beans, seasonings, rice and persimmon which we are free to eat and use. The environment is quiet and peaceful as we are surrounded by rice fields and other farm houses.

Amasing place with gentle owners, nice and cute japanese vintage style, bright rooms with yukatas, beautiful onsen space with clear hot water, near the nature with excellent connection with City Center by bus or walking, big 7/11 convenient store near. Satoshi san was so helpful and dependable. We felt relieved when he extended his time and effort to pick up us from Nakazato yuzawa sta. instead of Echigo yuzawa sta.     Was awesome to meet the owner we helped and guided us on how to use the heater and let us know about the 160year old history of the house. It was very interesting! The house is very rustic, has a full kitchen and has ample parking for 2-3 cars. The dinner arrangement with the local artist was amazing and fun! Not to mention this place is like 5mins away from kiyotsu gorge. I highly recommend this place!
