My stay at the Glima Eco Lodge was an amazing choice and I wished I could spent more time here. Roshani and her husband are such an inspiring and lovely couple. They treat you like you re a part of their family and serve you one of the best food I ever had in my LIFE! The Eco Lodge is so beautiful, it’s very clean and so cozy. The lake is infront of you and you can hear beautiful sounds of birds. The fireplace and the environment is so relaxing and you have the space only for you! Definitely go for the half board option, as it was the best dinner we've had in Sri Lanka so far. Host is super friendly and helpful. We organized our safari through him, and it was great.

Leel and his family are the most amazing people, and the property is just beautiful! The rooms are what I'd call Sri Lankan jungle-chich, very curated clean and comfy. We had lunch, dinner and a breakfast on-the-go and the food was always great. Leel personally guided our safari and it was awesome, he is very knowledgeable and loves what he does, which is very visible :) He even offered to take us to our next destination with his jeep, providing us with a panoramic fun trip there. We would definitely recommend this property but don't book too much, we're hoping to find it available next time we come too ;)

The cottage is nice and beautiful. The owner er very nice and kind - he also offers safari tours in a jeep. He knows a lot about the animals and REALLY puts an effort in to it. The food is delicious and huge portions. You can see animals in the garden, sometimes monkeys and leguana. :-) I would recommend to take a/c room.

Everything at Amba Kola was exceptional - especially the people. Louise, Janik, and Janik’s whole family are the loveliest people you will meet. The food is fantastic - everything is locally sourced and prepared with the finest spices and lots of love (Janik’s mom is an award-winning cook by the way). At Amba Kola the hosts will go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. They took us around in their safari jeep to see the elephants and wildlife and we even went swimming in the canal! The room (and the whole property) are lovely with so many personal touches to it. Louise is an artist and her art is present all over the place! Also, the outdoor bathroom is unique. I showered in the dark under the stars - an experience like no other. All I can say is: Come to Amba Kola and see for yourself. These people deeply care for what they do and it shows in every aspect. You won’t be disappointed!
