A great find on our trip. Extremely kind and friendly hosts. Food was delicious..we had an evening meal..was lovely. Breakfast was amazing. A great family run business. And you are within easy reach of all the lovely sacred sites of Anuradhapura. Any questions were answered.100 percent recommend. A great young waiter too who shared his home grown bannanas. Good luck in life young man. You will go far. ❤️❤️

Excellent hotel Located in nature But still everything is very clean and tidy. The rooms are beautiful, clean, loud, excellent air conditioning. The pool is really good, located in nature And feels like a spring. The food is excellent. The staff is really good. We stayed in 3 hotels in the city and this is the best hotel by far. A great place for children. Highly recommended for those who want to be in a beautiful place in nature and close to all the historical sites. We had a great experience, highly recommend.

From start to finish, our stay at Emerald was amazing! The room was super clean and comfortable, The bathroom was spacious with large shower and plenty of warm water The breakfast and dinner were both outstanding, with well-prepared local dishes that really showcased the flavors of the area. Not far from the railway station :) The host is amazing - we were even picked up from a befriended TukTuk driver at a veeery good rate! Bottle of water in the room :) The bed was ABSOLUTELY one of the most comfortable ones we ever had in Sri Lanka & with a mosquito net, fan & AC. The bathroom was spacious & clean :) There was a water heater for the shower :) If we're ever back in Anuradhapura, we'll stay there :) Restaurant & shop nearby.

This hotel is the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in. Interior design is very stylish and has several personal touches which the lovely owners will walk you through. Everything was very clean and functioning. Food is cooked to your liking and served on time. Throughout the stay the staff is attentive and service is excellent. We like to chitchat a bit, and the staff has perfect English skills. Few rooms available, so it feels like renting an entire luxurious villa for yourself. Even if not planning to go to Anuradhapura, I would go simply to enjoy this hotel. (If you can even call it a hotel. Feels like being invited into a celebrity’s private mansion!).
