Everything about this place is beautiful 👌🏽 You feel on top of the world being situated so high up in the mountains. Definitely very peaceful and private with amazing views. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. Your free to walk around the property and if you have kids the owner offers to allow them to feed the Guinea Fowls with them 🙂

Even though we only had a single overnight stay at Chalet Cullen, we must say it’s on our top ten experiences of what we have had during our 6 weeks vacation in New Zealand. The unit was fine and cozy, and with a great view to the beach. The local radio station (FM 90.4) plays pop/rock from the good old days. What’s not to like. We can only give our best recommendations.

Lovely, spacious room with a nice view from the terrace. The owners were very friendly and warm and we enjoyed the excellent evening meal offered. The Kauri Museum right next door was great.
