Bart is a friendly guy who takes great care of his place. Everything was clean and in order. The compost toilet might not be for everyone but was no problem using (and Bart's loft is a place in the countryside - if people need city comfort, a cabin in the wood is probably the wrong place anyway). The oven works well and fire wood is included in the price.

We got stranded in Almhult after our car broke down, so stayed one night and after a hectic day, this was a lovely spot to unwind a bit. As the garage was on the other end of town and there were no taxis available at all, the staff was extremely helpful and not only drove us back to the garage but also tried to find another suitable garage for us as the one we got stranded at was actually closed. Big thank you for helping us out!

We read poor reports on-line so were anxious that we had made a mistake booking. However everything we experienced was exceptional - the room, bathroom, breakfast and friendly and helpful staff. A gem of a location right on the lake in a National Forest. We hadn’t booked dinner so can’t comment on that, but food for breakfast was excellent. We would definitely return and recommend to friends.

The apartment itself is in a very nice calm location with very close access to the lake. The check in was smooth and the hosts Bertil and Mohammed helped me picking me up from the station and provided me with a bike to get to the center of Älmhult the next days.

Beautiful place to stay. It was warm and cozy. We stayed one night as a family on a trip to further north and were happy to have a parking right under the balcony, so that we could leave our stuff in the car.

We had a really nice, relaxing time at Brogård. The house was superb!! Loved being surrounded by nature and the lakes close by. The host was so kind and showed us around the area. Will definitely stay there again!!!

    The staff was very friendy and the hotel is located next to the museum. There is a big and free to park parking space and you can borrow games in the hotel lobby. There is a huge outside sitting area which is very comfortable. The breakfast Buffet was very tasty and you had a lot of (vegetarian) options.
