A quiet location, but accessible by bus or ferry from Stockholm. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We went on their free fortress tour, and they gave us a lift to the ferry. There are lots of lovely places to admire the views, including the cruise ships going by.

We had an excellent stay (too short 😢) in this beautifully decorated little cottage. Ideally located for visiting Sandhamn: boat about 20 min walk or 5 min bike ride (provided by owners). Katja is very welcoming and warm, she answered our questions with precision.

The house was spacious, beautifully presented, relaxing, full of light and was well appointed. The garden / grounds were large which meant we were not overlooked. It was very peaceful and we were surrounded by nature. The main access road into Stockholm was convenient and it was a 10 minute walk to a bus stop, 2 restaurants and the water. We hired a car and there were other bathing spots, a large retail park with supermarket, and other places to eat within a short drive. I took daily 90min - 2 hrs walks in the surrounding countryside on the signposted varmdoleden paths in the morning and saw: deer, storks, a badger, bird of prey, an otter, tens of baby frogs and lots of young dragon flies. It was incredible. We drove short distances to 3 different ferry points and sailed to different neighbouring islands.

We had a wonderful stay at Sofia’s house in Stavsnäs. The house was spotless, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. The silence and peace in the middle of the forest are truly surreal — we slept incredibly well, and the beds were very comfortable. Sofia is always available to solve any problem, and if contacted, she responds promptly. We honestly couldn’t have asked for anything more. A beautiful and authentic Swedish stuga.

The property was located in the countryside outside Stockholm and so was really quiet. There were walks which led to beaches and into the forests; we quite often saw deer and even saw a moose/elk in the garden. Even though it was outside Stockholm there was a convenient bus service into the city that took about an hour each way; this meant that we didn't have to drive to most locations. It was also convenient for the ferry (short bus ride away) which went to locations such as Sandhamn. One last comment is the Bageri within walking distance of the property; it was excellent for a mid morning cup of tea/coffee and a cake. The quality and cleanliness of the property was really good. The beds were big and comfortable; the shower was good and came with facilities such as a dishwasher. I wouldn't have problem recommending this property to someone else. As for Sweden; great place to visit.. would definitely go back again.

What an excellent place to visit over midsommar weekend or any summer week. The grounds are fantastic. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are a litte cozy but this is a dorm, after all. Perfect hostel experience.

Beautiful location with plenty of walking trails to choose from. Very tasty breakfast. Clean room. Very friendly host.

The included breakfast was amazing - eggs, pancakes, mini croissants, fruit, cheese, bread, smoothies, fruit juices, cereal choices. The outdoor activities cost a bit extra but made the visit so great for our kids (10 & 13). We did mini golf, soccer golf, the forest obstacle course, and alpaca feeding. The staff were all super friendly and the facilities were beautiful inside and out. There is also an ice cream shop and lots of gourmet candy for sale.

Three lovely cottages with great swimming spots nearby! Very cozy and comfortable with all the basic amenities. Lots of tables to hang out and grill with friends. Also very helpful, responsive and discrete host. I would totally recommend for a short escape to the archipelago.
