Everything! The place is a peach - tick all the boxes! The blend of modern styling and rustic furniture is a certain winner. The place is quaint and oozes charm. Rafters (with real rafters!) is the plum in Plumstead, and truly feels like home away from home. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the charmin Fiona and husband Rod. After exchanging a few pleasantries, our host, considered as they are left us alone to settle in - with a class of an excellent red wine. And then I saw the rafters - and fell in love with the place. I shall most definitely return to listen to the whispering in the rafters - at the RAFTERS!

Very beautiful, peaceful, and comfortable facilities in a location just above constantia village. Excellent continental breakfast plus complimentary hot drinks at any time. Reasonably priced honesty bar, paid on departure. Laundry service available. Great hosts, efficient but not formal. Appreciate the lifts to local restaurants and sights from their driver ( Pinto). We did not have a hire a car but the lifts provided were offered at a good price, as is uber if you are stuck. Jenn & jacques make you feel totally at home. One evening we did not feel like going out so we ordered in from a local restaurant. Very much appreciated to be able to do this. Special mention to the gorgeous gardens and pool.

From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the exceptional surroundings – a true slice of paradise. Every detail has been thoughtfully curated, creating an atmosphere of peace, comfort and top-class style. The views alone are worth the trip, but it was the warm hospitality that truly made my stay unforgettable. Lee-Ann is an exceptional host. Set at the foot of the hills in the picturesque Hout Bay the sanctuary lives up to its name. The a accommodations are absolutely perfect and had us relaxed within a few moments of arriving. And the staff (Jay and Doc) made our stay even more memorable and enjoyable. We will be back!
