Elvis was extremely nice and helpful and his brother took us to the beginning of the Teth pass trail.

Mostly because of the owner. The mountains are his home, hicking since childhood, can give you best advice where to go. Drove us to the beginning of the trails. He's passionate cook, so make sure to try his amazing cooked food from his own grown vegetables. Speaks English very well, we had a chance to know more about Albania, mountains, local life and just nice conversations. The house itself is built traditionally by him. Not only looking beautiful itself, but also surrounded from both sides by huge, steep mountains. Rooms are very clean, nice view from the window, comfortable bed.

The bedroom is upstairs by an exterior and private staircase with its own bathroom. There were 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms but we were alone since it was a bit off season. We spent our time hiking the area and relaxing in the yard. We ate breakfast and dinner at the guesthouse and the food was fresh, amazing, bountiful and a great value. Be sure to eat here. I requested vegetarian and it was no problem. The hostess and owner is just lovely. I can’t recommend this guesthouse enough. Hands down the best experience of our trip. A real cultural treat. Don’t miss it.

The rooms were impeccably clean and boasted an amazing view of the Valbona mountains and river. The soothing sound of the river flowing was like a beautiful symphony for our ears. The highlight of the stay was undoubtedly the delectable traditional food served, and the service was top-notch. Soni, in particular, stood out with his exceptional service. Booking this property turned out to be a stroke of luck, and I'm already looking forward to visiting again in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay at the HYSA guesthouse, sitting in the garden, savouring the good food, playing in the nearby river and preparing for the hike to Theeth.

From the first moment we arrived in the garden & parking space we were amazed on how beautiful and welcoming it was. The rooms are quite new, comfortable and clean, and also the air conditioning is a big plus in these summer nights. Breakfast is tasty and enough to fuel you for the hiking day! All this for a very reasonable price. Definitely would come back again.

If you want true Albanian family taste, come here. Great food, hosts are very helpfull with everything, have dinner option also for aditional 10€, wine, beer, anything. Asked for directions to the velbone - theth pass, host drove us to the start, and showed excact direction where to travel. Amazing, would come back for second and third time!
