Had a lovely stay at Avatar Peaks Resort! Winnie at the reception was absolutely amazing and spoke very good English. She helped organize everything during my stay, and I can’t thank her enough. She recommended a route for visiting the National Forest with clear directions and was quick to answer any questions I had. The dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the resort was very close—just a golf cart ride away from the entrance to the West Gate (Yangjiajie Ticket Station).

The property is around 21 km from Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, 2.1 km from Baofeng Lake and 3.1 km from Suoxiyu. The hotel has a hot tub, a kids' club and free WiFi. What a beautiful place! The first thing I said to my wife when we got into the room was, “I want my bedroom to be like this!” It is so beautifully decorated and well-kept. We arrived extremely early and were allowed to check-in early and have breakfast (cannot say that this is the norm, and should be an expectation, this is just our experience). The bath is lovely and the water-pressure from the shower is amazing…..possibly the best shower I’ve had! We appreciated how close it is to the National Park and the Grand Canyon. The staff were very helpful and so welcoming. We managed to book all of our excursions through the hotel and all of our questions (of which there were many!) were answered. If I were to revisit Zhangjiajie, I would stay at this hotel without hesitation. Oh, and a special thank you for collecting us from the train station!

The Hotel is near the Railway Station and the Airport, perfect location to reach everything easily. The starting point for Tianmen Mountain is 20 minutes away walking. The employees were really friendly, helpful and courteas.

We stayed for three nights in this hotel to visit Zhangjiajie national park and Grand canyon. The staff was very helpful, gave us tips and a marked map to navigate easily in the park. All the reception ladies are very helpful, they made our trip a lot easier. We had a room on the third floor with a balcony. The room was equipped with all the necessities, housekeeping was everyday. Breakfast was in chinese style. Location is optimal, it's around 15 min. walk from the park entrance. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A recently renovated homestay situated in Fenghuang, Fenghuang Ancient Town Lazy Cat Riverside Inn features a terrace. With mountain views, this accommodation offers a balcony. The homestay features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. Super convenient location. A stairway away from the entrance to Phoenix town, which makes it very easy to take a taxi, and a 5 min walk to Hongqiao bridge. Liù was an absolute top host; she recommended amazing lunch spots, the main must-sees and even went with me on a very late batik shopping sprint. The room is occupied by the massive and most comfy bed with a great view to the river - keep this in mind if you are carrying big luggage, there may not be a lot of space, but it is manageable. There is an electric kettle, complementary bottles of water, tea and instant coffee. Also, Liù offered a welcome basket of fruit! The bathroom was squeaky clean and toiletries were provided: shampoo, body wash, toothbrushes and combs. I wish I had stayed longer.

The staff, especially the owner Rainbow and her husband were incredibly helpful and kind. We didn’t plan anything for our visit, but Rainbow guided us on how to make the most of our two-day stay and suggested the best tours. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and have a private bathroom and toilet. The hotel is extremely affordable, offering great value for money. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and it’s only a 3-minute walk to the Tianmen Cable Car. They also provide free drinking water, which was very convenient. We wished we could have stayed longer! If you’re looking for cheap, clean, and comfortable accommodation in Zhangjiajie with amazing hospitality, this is the place to stay. Highly recommended!

We had the best stay. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. Breakfast was great and everything was clean.

Beautiful place with amazing view, especially in the morning with a mist. The hotel was super cozy and comfortable. Clean and big. Antony is the best host I've met in China so far (and I've been here for 6 years) Popeye (the cute doggie) is the best marketing manager and entertainer you can find on bookings. 10 out of 10, definitely recommend!
