The property was at a different location than we had mapped. Yet, we were more than pleased with our accommodation. Plus, Gotha is magic. We met a local tour guide, a woman on her 60’s, she was so wonderful! The room was designed to perfection!

This was a new hotel for us and it was an amazing find. The hotel was very clean, the room was larger than expected, the bathroom and shower were great. The breakfast was the best we had on our entire trip. Breakfast was exceptional, amazingly wonderful and so very delicious. We talked about this hotel every day on our Christmas Market Trip. I'd like to go back to Erfurt just to stay here! And yes, the staff were so friendly and helpful. If you're nervous about not staying at a chain or trying something new...take a chance, you'll be glad you did!

Located at the foot of the Wartburg mountain in the city of Eisenach, this elegant 4-star hotel features a beautiful Art Nouveau façade with a colourful, modern interior design. This was a stay in a beautiful art deco style villa dated 1907. Once inside the boutique hotel, we entered a warm haven of a gold and brown coloured interior, and were heartily welcomed by the lady at the reception. She offered us a coffee, while she finished cleaning our room, as to allow us an early check-in. The hotel manager helped us with bringing up the luggage to our room. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated and with all comfort to feel “home away from home”. The breakfast was very good, with a wide range of homemade goodies. We will definitely be back! Very nice hotel.We arrived at night and were hungry, the restaurant was already closed, but they still fed us! Absolutely superb breakfast service (11/10)! Newly renovated from the ground up. WiFi works fine. Supermarket just across the street. Perfect location for a lot of hiking. Easily reachable by car as well as public transport. Despite this being an active railway station, the trains didn't bother me sound wise. With the windows closed, sound isolation was extremely good, and even sleeping with the window open was OK (I will add that my room was on the street side of the building, however).

I would have loved to stay longer, very comfortable and anyone looking for a place to stay in Jena should consider Jörg’s apartments !

After spending one night there, we immediately booked two more. The place was sparkling clean and very thoughtfully prepared. All the small details showed how much the owner truly cares about the property and the guests. It was also very sweet to have a little chat with the owner. The house is located in a peaceful area, just a 10–15 minute drive from many points of interest (parks, baths, castles). I highly encourage you to spend your weekend here!
