Had a wonderful 3 night stay at the The Bittescombe Inn, the room and pub are everything you could want, recently refurbished but without losing any of it's 'country pub' charm. We were made very welcome and joined the locals on Monday night for Venison courtesy of a local farmer, a lovely atmosphere full of fun and great food. The location of the inn is perfect for getting away and spending time on Exmoor, quiet walks and beautiful scenery, the perfect escape....Only about 30 minutes drive from the beautiful coast line of Minehead and Porlock (which also had some lovely pubs for lunch!).....Thank you Mark, we'll be back to visit again soon I hope :)

The accommodation offers luggage storage space and private check-in and check-out for guests. We had to change our plans suddenly and were delighted that rooms were free at quite short notice. We were given a warm reception and shown around the facilities as it was late we ordered a meal to be delivered and they kindly found plates to accommodate us. My room was fantastic. Very comfortable bed and a ballroom for a bathroom. Tea, coffee, cold water and milk were provided on the landing, but also in you room. Breakfast was very tasty and served around a farm style wooden table. A cooked breakfast was also an option, but I was very happy with the fruit, yogurt and toast. Excellent facilities and comfortable stay. If I'm back this way I would stay again.

After traveling for 2 weeks with terrible bathrooms and even black mold in one, this updated bathroom was HEAVEN. 🚽🚿 The host, while not obligated, offered and helped me with my suitcase up and down the stairs. Small but HUGE when you're a solo traveler. The breakfast they offer for an extra charge (not a lot) was absolutely 💯 worth it. Best meal I had in Cheddar, and they proved gluten-free bread! 🙌🍞 As a solo traveler, I would 100% recommend staying at this location if you are visiting Cheddar.
