As we were driving by the airport, we saw these strange looking houses on the other side of the lake and were hoping we would be staying in one of those. It was the case. We managed to get in super easily thanks to the code provided. We were lucky to have a nice and sunny day which added points to the amazing view. The kitchen is well equiped and the bathroom is correct.

Featuring mountain views, Jökla Guesthouse in Skjöldólfsstaðir features accommodation, a garden, a terrace and a shared lounge. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. From the outside it looks like a standard Icelandic house, but once you step foot inside the door, you can immediately tell the place has been recently renewed. It's very modern and all the rooms including the kitchen and bathrooms are equipped with everything you might need. Honestly 10/10, would love to stay here again in the future!

Hengifosslodge Tiny Houses in Egilsstadir provides adults-only accommodation with a private beach area and a garden. We really enjoyed staying here, the layout and design of the cabins was refreshing and wonderful. Our hosts were extremely friendly and provided us with all the information we needed to explore the area. The beds were very comfortable too, and the serenity of the location was just breathtaking.
