By the way, the snack and drink fridge in the corridor was also an amazing idea! The owners are very friendly and nice; they provided us with very useful information and instructions we needed for our stay, and they were always there to respond quickly to our questions, etc. What's more, it was so nice to receive their little welcome gift: Icelandic chocolate! We also loved this little charming city very much. We hope to come back again one day. Highly recommended! P.S. the location is amazing!

Árbakki Farmhouse Lodge offers a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 18 km of Geysir and 28 km of Gullfoss Waterfall. Featuring a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. Guests can make use of the sun terrace or the children's playground, or enjoy views of the mountain and river. The place is just amazing. A beautiful house in a surrounded by trees. Fully equipped kitchen. Families were cooking dinner as if they were in their home. Buffet breakfast was simple but delicious! We wish we could stay for more than just one night!

Guesthouse Bitra B&B’s simple rooms have either private or shared bathroom facilities. They provide views of Mount Hekla or the surrounding countryside. If you are looking for a nights stay for a good price that even includes a nice breakfast I can gladly recommend Bitra guesthouse. Everything was just nice enough considering a very nice price. A great budget get-away trip from the city.

The accommodation offers a shared kitchen and free WiFi. Efra Sel was the nicest surprise of our trip when it comes to accommodation, and probably my favourite accommodation we stayed at in Iceland. The room was spacious and clean, and this was the only room where we had a sofa as part of a "living room corner" too. There was a sink and mirror in the room. The bathrooms are nice and there are 2 bathrooms for 6 rooms I think, which is a good ratio. We did not see other people, so it barely felt like a shared hostel bathroom. The kitchen is also well equipped with a large table facing large windows with a nice view outside. The price was also pretty affordable. We were sorry we booked only 1 night, and would definitely come back!

The host was super nice, I had made a mistake about the dates and i was able to change it on the fly. I have to highlight, of course, the amazing hot tub, what a treat :-)
