The warm ambiance is further enhanced by local artists' paintings adorning the walls. We went as a group and we loved the ryokan. It was very spacious, everything was very clean, and it was conveniently located near the bus station, the train station, and the city center where most of the shopping takes place. The rooms were the most spacious we stayed in throughout Japan, and the staff were all very kind. I would definitely stay here again.

All guest rooms are fitted with wooden furnishings, providing a perfect haven for relaxation. The property offers free pick-up shuttles from Hirayu Onsen bus stop, a 3-mintue ride away. Food was excellent, hot springs were relaxing and well maintained. Extra amenities such as free sake, beer/wine, late night ramen, and live music was very appreciated.

Excellent location right in Magome. A wonderful stopover as we walked the Nakasendo trail. The hosts, Ken and Yuki are super friendly, kind, and fluent in English which is rare in smaller hotels in Japan This small hotel is very cozy, the food is delicious and there is a small bar in-house which is great since there is not much to do in Magome at night. Rooms are spacious, traditional tatami and bed available. We had a very nice view of the mountains. Even though bathrooms are shared there are only a 5 rooms in the property, so not a lot of people and everything is spotless clean.

Situated in Gujo, 46 km from Gero Station and 100 metres from Rensho-ji Temple, The　Nomad　Inn　Gujo features air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi.
