The staff was so welcoming and generous, it was great to be able to meet them as a solo traveller and made it feel like I was staying with friends. Walking distance to train station and large supermarket only 10 mins away. I wish I could have stayed longer and I will come back here if I come back to Shikoku.

The entire stay was peaceful and relaxing, and if it had been possible, I would have gladly booked a few more nights just to enjoy the stunning views and quiet atmosphere.

Additionally, its central location between my two other destinations, Kochi-shi and Aki-shi, meant that I didn't have to drive a lot in one day. Our host, Kyoko-san, was incredibly friendly and kind. Since it was the off-season, she gave the three of us two rooms, which allowed for a comfortable stay. I slept well during our time there. Unfortunately, I lost a hubcap from the rental car—it's a long story. On our departure morning, Kyoko-san went out of her way to prepare breakfast for my son and me. After saying our goodbyes, Kyoko-san called to inform us that my son had left his passport and charger behind. She kindly brought them all the way to the airport for us. Overall, I felt that the guesthouse was truly a home away from home.
