As I stepped foot through the main gate, it was as if I've entered into another world! This place is tranquil and quiet. The sound of the water fountain immediately brought peace and rest to any tired traveller. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning, though simple, was delicious and really warms you up. I also like that its location is near to the main historical sights, so you can walk around easily. It's my first time staying in a hanok. If I visit Gyeongju again, I'm coming back to Soseoljae!

I was traveling with my teenage son and he went out of his way to make us feel welcome and answer any questions we had (his English is quite good, my Korean not so much). The location is great, just outside of the very busy core area of Gyeongju but only a few minutes away from the action by foot. It’s quite close to the bus line to Namsan Natl Park, as well. Would highly recommend!!
