We stayed one night in this lovely accommodation. It’s located a bit remotely, about 15 minutes from the main road, and a 4x4 car is recommended. The location is surrounded by beautiful nature, offering a peaceful and scenic environment. The staff was incredibly friendly and prepared a delicious dinner (4 OMR), including chicken, beef curry, dahl, rice, and hummus. Breakfast was tasty too. There are also some hiking options in the area. Overall, it’s a fantastic place if you’re looking for a quiet place in nature.

Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort, the highest five star resort in the middle east on the curving rim of a great canyon, is a secluded haven for the intrepid and discerning. Everything was wonderful, the hotel is an experience. Definitely a place you must visit

Truly enchanting and one of a kind and I can’t wait to come back. That said, two minor negatives. Mosquitos in the area were troublesome, especially with the incredible indoor/outdoor layout. I think some citronella candles would have helped. Had I known I would have brought mosquito repellant. The only other item was that there was a gathering on the floor above us and kept us up late. Not sure what could be done about neighbors gathering and having a good time, just surprising that the voices so easily penetrated through the walls and ceiling. I used white noise to drown out most of it. Neither issue would cause me to hesitate from returning as the Arish house was a remarkable and amazing little stay in a serene and majestic location.
