John the owner he’s not doing that “host” act. He’s just a solid guy who actually shows up for his guests. No delays, no excuses, no attitude. You need something? It’s done. You’ve got questions? He answers them before you even ask. No ego, no weird vibe just pure respect and presence. It’s rare as hell. Even the scooter rental is on point brand new, rides clean, price is fair. Not one of those beat-up bikes everyone else tries to pass off as “ok.” This isn’t just a place to sleep. It’s run properly. It feels good. You can tell someone gives a shit about the details and that alone makes it better than half the so-called “top-rated” places out there. Stay here. That’s it.

He was super friendly and helpful the entire time, always ready to give us tips on where to go and what to see around the island. The rooms were really spacious and pretty — we loved how clean and fresh they were every single day. Big shoutout to Edna and her team for the amazing breakfast every morning. It was such a nice way to start the day. And the location? Perfect. It’s right in front of the Cloud 9 boardwalk, and the best part is that the hotel has its own private entrance to the beach — no need to pay the 100 pesos entrance fee every time. That was a huge plus!

Very clean and high spec room (with fans and great aircon) with a lovely balcony that gets the morning sun, Tim was an amazing host and the staff were incredibly attentive. The room and rest of hostel including the kitchen had well stocked amenities, including French press, freshly ground coffee in the room. It was safe and secure with our very own guard dog Tiger (not that it was needed - an added bonus in a relatively remote and beautiful surrounding). Tim the owner was amazing and even picked us up on the first night to ensure we found our way. He ensured we had everything we needed and knew how everything worked. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend jt to anyone who wants a home away from home!
