We were staying in the top floor 2 bedroom apartment which was super spacious, with large balcony and superb view of the mountains. Everything is new, fresh and looks stylish. The train tracks and station is near but you really don't hear anything from there. Everything the village offers - restaurants, grocery store, lakefront are within a short walk. While staying here we figured that this location is better than some others across the railway in the "village center" so to speak - less people and cars in direct vicinity. Great cafe behind the hotel.

Downstairs, there's a pool table with bar service until 8pm. Great to spend time before going to Humno bar and restaurant. There is more than enough parking spaces around the pension

Located in Štrbské Pleso and surrounded by the High Tatras National Park, Apartmany Panorama 10X-90X offers accommodation in private apartment sets in the Panorama Resort complex. Free WiFi is available. We were very happy with this hotel. The apparment was big and clean, it had two rooms and the kitchen, also a balcony with the mountain view. The beds were very comfortable. The location is perfect.

Just 300 metres from the Jakubova lúka Ski Centre, this apartment house can be found 1 km from the centre of Starý Smokovec. It offers a self-catered accommodation with free WiFi in public areas and rooms. Was even better, than I expected. The photos of the room do not show full picture. The room had everything we needed: cosy dining area, equiped with kitchenette, big bathroom, comfy beds. And most important for us - they allow dogs!

Limited private parking at the property is possible at an extra charge and upon prior confirmation and free public parking is possible at a location 7 km from the property, in Tatranska Polianka. A magical stay surrounded by mountains, forests, a lake and a stream. We enjoyed the view from the window and the spa in every weather. At least 4 different nature trails start from the hotel door and they're all nice. Instead of googling "Tatras best hikes", just start walking in any direction from Velické Pleso and you won't regret it. Generous buffet at breakfast and dinner and delicious food and drinks for lunch. If you read negative reviews about the "tourist restaurant", note that that's the backpackers hut. The hotel restaurant is only available to hotel guests and the lunch options are delicious. We were told you can also ask for packed lunch for the hike, but it wasn't possible because we hadn't ordered it in advance. A free-of-charge spacious private spa by reservation with saunas and a beautiful view. You can send your luggage from their lower parking lot at the Tatranská Polianka railway station by their van and hike to the hotel. You can even leave it in a storage unit for them to pick up, you just need to coordinate in advance.

Hotel Patria in Strbske Pleso houses a restaurant with Slovakian cuisine, a billiards room and spa area accessible free of charge including a gym, a sauna and an indoor pool. The ski slopes are 200 metres away. Perfect location for exploring the surrounding high tatras region. Lots of restaurants and hiking activities near by. Close to train station. The wellness area is great for relaxing after a day full of activities. There were not a lot of crowds, many different sauna available, hot tubs and a pool. Breakfast had typical options with added local cheeses which were great. Great value for money.
