I had a wonderful stay at OUTRIGGER Reef Waikiki Beach Resort. The location is perfect — right on the beach with easy access to everything in Waikiki. My room was clean, beautifully decorated, and had an amazing ocean view. The staff were warm and welcoming from the start. I especially appreciated the live Hawaiian music in the evenings and the relaxing atmosphere throughout the resort. The pool, beach bar, and on-site dining made it easy to enjoy every moment without leaving the property. It truly felt like a tropical getaway. I would definitely return.

The property was designed by internationally acclaimed interior design firm, Champalimaud and features works of several Hawaiian artists in partnership with The Honolulu Museum of Art public art program. Clean, friendly and just in general very nice

Set in Kailua-Kona, 2 km from Magic Sands Beach, The Bamboo House has a garden, parking on-site and rooms with free WiFi access. Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Outdoor seating allows guests to enjoy the fresh air. We chose this place for our first night on the Hawaiian Islands. It’s about a 20-30 minute drive from the airport. The popular restaurants are also within a 2-3 mile drive, so it’s a great location! The surrounding neighborhood is very quiet. The overall service and room were very thoughtful. The check-in process was simple and clear, with insect-repelling scents and sprays, a small nightlight in the bathroom, a guestbook by the door, and even face masks available! There’s also a steam iron and regular iron to choose from. We only realized after leaving that there was no TV, which fits perfectly with the bamboo and zen concept.

Set just 11 km from Kaloko-Honokohau National Historic Park, The Koi House with Pool offers accommodation in Kailua-Kona with access to an outdoor swimming pool, a shared lounge, as well as a shared kitchen. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Kealakekua Bay is 18 km away and Kealakekua Bay State Historical Park is 22 km from the homestay. The property was clean and well maintained. It was in an ideal spot to explore the big island. We stayed in a room with a shared bathroom and it was never an issue! The host was great at communicating.

I am gluten intolerant and was given a filling, tasty breakfast with lovely fresh fruit!

The house is amazing, its location simply stunning. Sunrise is a pleasant wake up for every morning. The room was very clean and full of every stuff you need. Everything was perfect, wonderful place, amazing host, very special vibe! Really want to go back ;)

The accommodation offers a shared kitchen and free WiFi throughout the property. The vibe you find at Open Gate Hostel is hard to explain and find somewhere else. Staying here was one of the best decisions I have made throughout my two weeks in Hawaii. Staff is truly super (helpful, friendly, welcoming, helpful) and the people you meet there are just amazing. My private room was large, comfortable, and clean. Bathrooms and kitchen were very clean, too. Location is incredible.

Kilauea House is set in Volcano, 18 km from Kilauea, 45 km from Pana'Ewa Rainforest Zoo, as well as 49 km from University Of Hawaii, Hilo. This bed and breakfast offers free private parking, luggage storage space and free WiFi. Guests can access the bed and breakfast via private entrance. Perfectly located a short drive from the national park entrance. The hosts were lovely and gave us local tips (one of them is a ranger at the national park). The room was so carefully appointed and the breakfast was fantastic, with so much food and a great variety. The garden outside the room was lovely too.
